Otto Ernst Wiesenthal, Art collector needed a gallery for his collection so converted an old patrican house to a boutique hotel. You can even request the room with the Bösendorfer piano.

As a boutique operation, the hotel offers its guests a bevy of special amenities, including a large collection of unique, museum-quality art overseen by Otto Ernst Wiesenthal, the owner of the property. The art, situated throughout the rooms, includes works by Niki de Saint Phalle, Annie Leibovitz, Andy Warhol, Franz Ringel, Lisa Huber, Eva Wagner, Barbara Riedl, R. C. Andersen, Peter Atanasov, and much more.

There is also a series of posh rooms designed by noted Italian architect Matteo Thun. It’s the definition of an artful getaway.
