But if Puccio’s clientele is consistent, his style is anything but. Puccio gravitates towards the special, the out of the ordinary, even the curious. And he never duplicates himself. As the designer himself says, he has been very fortunate to have a flourishing career in a competitive place like Los Angeles. He’s not about to risk it by becoming stale.
In reality, Puccio is really more of a “life stylist.” When he takes on a residential design, he not only wants to know where the homeowners live and what they do, but also how they sleep, travel, play, and entertain. If asked, Puccio will style everything from an intimate dinner party to a lavish birthday bash, right down to the last detail. He is intimate with his clients’ quotidian rituals and unique milestones, and, as a result, he becomes so much more than a decorator: he is confidante, counselor, doctor and, above all, friend.
