The news came in conjunction with an announcement that Art and Living™ would be the Official Media Partner of the US Pavilion at Expo 2010 Shanghai, the world expo being staged later this year that is expecting to welcome over 70 million visitors.

Chao’s involvement with Art and Living™ marks a significant gesture of accord and elevates Art and Living’s commitment to promoting humanitarian efforts.

With a prominent media presence and significant distribution at the pavilion, A+L, Art and Living™’s flagship publication, will be the only English and Chinese language magazine distributed at the USA Pavilion of the Expo 2010 Shanghai.

The publication to be released at the expo is featuring great Chinese and Chinese American creators. Editorial content will explore the creative synergy between China and the USA.

Art and Living™ Publisher Jeff Marinelli said, “It is such an honor to be able name Mr. Chao Official Humanitarian Ambassador. Mr. Chao is truly a visionary.”

In conjunction with the US Pavilion organizers, Art and Living™ will be hosting a symposium around the topic of designing for Chinese consumers. The event, taking place on the 2nd and 3rd of September, will feature great creators, innovators, and artists exploring design themes in contemporary China.

In addition, Art and Living™ will be staging its revered Art to Life Awards ceremonies on September 3rd and 17th in Shanghai and Beijing, respectively. At this time, Mr. Chao will receive an Art to Life Award for his humanitarian efforts.

The 2010 Shanghai World Expo will be held from May 1 through October 31, 2010. It is expected that some 70 million people will attend, 95% of whom will be from Mainland China. This will be the first time China has hosted a world expo, and already more than 190 nations have committed to participate.

At over 60,000 square feet, the USA National Pavilion will be one of the largest national pavilions at the Expo. With the theme of “Rise to the Challenge,” it will showcase American culture, values, innovation and business in China’s most dynamic city, while celebrating the friendship and cooperation between the U.S. and China.
